Dental Treatment abroad?

Are Dental Implants cheaper in Eastern Europe?
Eastern European Clinics are NO LONGER competetive as they were in the past when UK clinics charged £3000 per Implant. Many clinics in the UK now charge ~ £1500 per Implant and less.

The completion of Implant Treatment takes usually at least 3 visits which means 6 journeys and Hotel stays. With some dental treatment ahead or just finished that doesn't make it a Holiday Trip and the Patient is mostly confined to the hotel which can be a lonely place.
Additional Costs: If you compare the cost of dental treatment don't forget:

Car travel to and from UK Airports, Airport Parking Charges, Return Flights, Taxi fares from and to clinic, Hotel Accomodation to and from Hotel and LOSS OF EARNINGS. Other Considerations: Are foreign Dentists insured if something goes wrong?

What happens if there is a postoperative problem when you are back in the UK?
If there is a problem with the dental work how you can claim against the dentist?

What about aftercare: most UK dentists will refuse to take over aftercare for work carried out in a foreign clinic for legal reasons. Flying after dental extractions or Implant Placement:
The flight cabin is pressurised at the equivalent of an altitude of 10,000feet. Therfore it is recommended not to fly for 48 hours after Treatment.
