Training
Clinical experience as well as postgraduate Training is very important for any dentist. Dr Nelz has been placing implants since 1997. In 2009 he has been trained by Professor Huerzeler (Munich) in the latest surgical techniques to achieve excellent aesthetic results

Technology
There are hundreds of different Implant systems on the market and they all work well in experienced hands. To cover different clinical situations we are using mainly 4 Implant Systems: Legacy (Implant Direct/US), Neoss (UK), Bicon(US), Straumann(CH).
For our surgical Augmentation Procedures we are using the world renowned Products BioOss and BioGide from the German-Swiss company Geistlich.
Since 2008 we are using a "Piezotome" (= Ultrasonic Device) for our surgical Procedures (Sinuslifts, Bone Augmentation) which enables us to operate very gently resulting in very little postoperative complaints.

Implant Alternatives
Telescopic Dentures and Bridges, Precision Attachments are routinely used in Germany and other parts of the world but relatively unknown in the UK. For many Patients it can be a viable Alternative to Implants or uncomfortable loose Dentures. Read more
